The 24th annual Summer's End Retreat for Nebraska's rural single Christians will be held August 22 to 24 at the Leadership Center in Aurora, NE. Nebraska State Probation is holding a Community Safety DUI Awareness Day on August 23rd at the Norfolk Senior High School in the front parking lot beginning at 11am. Glad Tidings Bible Camp is sponsoring a one day seminar on Saturday, August 23 from 9 am to 9pm. The seminar is entitled, "Discover Creation!" The featured speaker is Richard Stepanek, from the Alpha and Omega Institute of Grand Junction, Colorado. The purpose is to gain confidence in God and be encouraged and strengthened to serve Him. School age youth through grandparents are welcome. A free-will offering will be taken. The noon meal will be potluck and the evening meal will be provided. The Concord Awana Clubs in Concord, NE will kick off the 2008-09 year with a Summer Fun Night, Sunday, August 24. Two new exhibits are currently on display until Thursday, August 28 at the Norfolk Arts Center. The gallery exhibit is "Made in USSR". The atrium exhibit will display the works of Norfolk's own Dale Masters in the exhibit, "The Artwork of Dale Masters." All exhibits are free to the public. For more information call 371-7199. There will be a MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meeting Wednesday September 3rd from 9:00am till 11:15am at the Victory Road Evangelical Free Church.
